Hon'ble Mr.Badshah Gul Wazir, took oath as 1st Ombudsman for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He had served as an officer in Grade-21 from the provincial Services Group. He has also served as Secretary HOME in the Provincial Government. He retired prematurely on December 31,2010. The government nominated him in October 2010 to head the Provincial Ombudsman Office.

Waqar Ayub
Took oath as 2nd Ombudsman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 22, 2015, Mr. WaqarAyub had rendered over thirty five years services in the public and development sectors. He has varied experience of having held various management and specialist positions in provincial governments in Pakistan and INGOs. The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa utilized Mr. Ayub’s experience in policy reforms to reform structures and procedures of Revenue & Estate Department (Board of Revenue) where he successfully supervised development and introduction of software to improve quality, strengthen security, and improve accessibility and transparency of land records. In Communication & Works Department he improved transparency in procurement matters by introducing means to eliminate physical contact between contractors and engineering staff especially in contract award processes. Simultaneously, he put in place administrative measures to improve governance and service delivery within the departments. While heading the Sarhad Development Authority he improved the financial health of the public sector organization creating fiscal space to carry out long awaited improvement of dilapidated infrastructure of existing industrial estates, and initiating development of new phase of Hattar Industrial Estate. He led the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team wherein he recommended action to the Chief Minister for improving functioning of supervisory tiers, internal controls, and capacity building while enquiring into cases of misappropriation and maladministration. Mr. Waqar Ayub has held important field postings of Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, and Northern Areas (now Gilgit-Baltistan). He also held important positions in Finance, and Planning & Development Departments. He worked with Research Triangle Institute (INGO) as Provincial Manager to improve primary education access in rural areas, and improve teachers’ skills in the province of Sindh (USAID); and Options Ltd. (INGO) as Financial Management Specialist improving budget preparation, procurement processes, and execution of 7 Primary Health Projects executed by Federal Government of Pakistan by indicating institutional weaknesses followed by need based trainings of Project Managers, Procurement, and Finance personnel (DFID).

Aqal Badshah Khattak
Took oath as 3rd Ombudsman for the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 04/05/2018, Mr. Agal Badshah had rendered over 35 years Provincial Service and has held important field postings as Additional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Magistrate in various Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.He also remained posted as Additional Secretary (Legal Opinion) in Law, Parliamentary Affairs & Human Rights Department, Deputy Secretary Home Department, Health Department. At the fag end of service he was posted as project Director (Computerization of Land Record). His services were utilized by the Goverment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to his experience in policy reforms to reform structures and procedures of Revenue & Estate Department (Board of Revenue) where he successfully supervised development and introduction of software to improve quality, strengthen security, and improve accessibility and transparency of land records. He remained posted four times as an Officer in Political Administration FATA. During posting as District Officer Revenue (DOR) in Karak, Mansehra, Upper Dir and Kohat, his services were lauded and appreciated by the public at large. He retired from Provincial Civil Service on 16th March, 2018 in BPS-20.

Syed Jamal Ud Din Shah
Took oath as 4th Provincial Ombudsman, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 15/12/2020, Syed Jamal Ud Din Shah had rendered over 33 years Provincial Service and has held important Administrative as well as field postings like Secretary to Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Establishment Department, Local Government, Elections & Rural Development Department, Sports, Culture & Tourism Department. He also held important filed positions like Divisional Commissioner, Kohat Division Kohat, Commissioner Afghan Refugees, D.G Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, D.C.O District Administration Bannu and Deputy Secretary Chief Minister Secretariat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His services were also utilized by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Political Administration Ex-FATA in five large populated Agencies like Assistant Political Agent (APA) District Khyber, South Waziristan, Kurram and Orakzai. Syed Jamal Ud Din Shah has Master Degree in Political Science from University of Peshawar.
